Turn off #1: Men on dating sites who post photos of themselves without shirts! WHY? Whether you have the body of a Greek god or not, personally I find these photos humorous! And let’s face it, 99% of the population does not have that type of body. But even if you do, your shirtless photos tell me that you are way more into yourself and your ego than you’d be into me.
Ladies, am I just an oddball or do you actually think those photos are attractive? Let’s hear your take on it!

What's It All About?
I think it's obvious what this blog is about, but just in case, here's a little back story.
I went through an unexpected, unwanted divorce several years ago. The ex husband up and decided one day that he was going to move out and away from his family, new home, whole life... and in with his newly found girlfriend. After nearly 15 years and apparently marriage problems that I was blissfully unaware of, he was gone.
I didn't date for a year. Then, I gave it a shot a couple times. Those blog posts are coming, LOL. It was around that time that a good friend of mine told me I should write a book about my experiences... the dates I had were just one funny thing after another. After about a year of that, I enrolled in college and decided that while working on my degree, I would put all dating aside. No time to invest in any kind of relationship. So the next three years were date-free. I was beyond busy with school and raising my kids.
My middle son always knew that I was not going to do any dating while in school. So, right around the time I graduated, he asked the big question: "Mom, are you going to go on a date now?". Gee, no pressure, son!
I got a job, got on my feet at work, and started back on the dating merry-go-round. (more posts coming!) That's where this blog comes in. I hope you enjoy it, and if anyone has anything to add, feel free! I'm thinking of doing a feature occasionally from readers, so if anyone has any stories, I'll be putting up a link where you can email them to me.

Plenty Of Fish, My Ass!
So, I spent some time trying to come up with a good title for this blog. I asked a friend for suggestions, then I posted to FaceBook and asked for suggestions. Finally I took a vote. Then I decided to go with my first idea anyway. LOL
It was really hard to choose! Others that were in the running, and that I wish I could somehow incorporate into the blog (perhaps I'll be using them as individual titles!) are:
"Where Are All The Fish?"
"Forget Fish, I Want A Man!"
"He's Not That Into You Because He's Too Into Himself" (gosh I love that one!!)
I did get asked by a couple people if the Fish titles were because I'm signed up for an online dating site called Plenty Of Fish. I'm not. It's a play on the old saying "there's plenty of fish in the sea" along with the name of the dating web site.
I have no time line of how often I'll be posting. It'll be as often as I get "material" for it ;). I do have a bunch of "material" stocked up from the past year or so, though.
Hope you enjoy, because let me tell you, some of these experiences have been less than fun! LOL
